““The record is reflective of my life over the last three years, through moving across the country,
losing my father to cancer, and falling in and out of love many times — the record is many
pieces of myself planted in the same garden. I am so excited to share it with everyone.”
Recorded at rasp.la in Pasadena alongside LA-based percussion duo, DesoDuo
gilly's garden was supported by New Music USA’s Creator Fund in 2025-26.

“I started writing most of this album last year as I began to finally understand my mental health. I finally received an official diagnosis for my depression and learned how it manifests; I experience a wide variety of mood swings, from high highs to very low lows. Many of these songs are my way of processing the way that I have existed in this world without realizing they were not the norm. While writing the album, I went through immense changes in my mental health and began to really feel like I loved myself for the first time in my life. The album is a message of hope and comfort for anyone who is struggling or who has struggled with their mental health. I just want everyone to know that they are not alone. You are seen and you are loved, just the way you are.”
